Welcome back everyone.
It is so lovely practicing in a group and I have missed you
A warm welcome to new students who are joining us this term.
Thank You all so much for coming to my classes.
I had a really special 3 months holiday with "me Mam" and was there to celebrate her 83rd birthday. We spent most of our time at the house I grew up in. My job while I was staying at Mam’s was to plant and look after her flowers, eat and enjoy her cakes without complaining about the amount of butter and sugar! And take her on outings and holidays. Sounds lovely and I could finish with that.
But relationships are not always easy and yoga teaches you how to accept and handle things better.
My Mam is so different to me and I could feel how much easier it would be for us, if I slipped back into family values and routines.
I know I challenge her way of living so much...she has no special meals to cook for me as I gave up eating meat a very long time ago. She changed the date for her 3 monthly weed spray until we left because I believe in organic gardening, she ate her meals at the table with us, turned down the TV and I learned not to criticize and judge but accept our differences.
We tried to adapt and stay soft around each other.
My sister in law practices yoga and before going home to “me Mams” I borrowed one of her yoga books which helped so much.
It summed up life so simply. Do you want to live in “soft times” or “hard times?”
Yoga teaches you how to live in soft times.
It starts with the asana, learning how to soften and relax into a pose. Yoga is only hard, if you make it so.
In class I encourage you to stop pushing and start enjoying life as well as yoga To find the point as you practice where you feel your body working but it feels good. Where you can stay and breathe, learn to soften, learn to relax. All of this will help you in life too.
We tried to stay in soft time, saying goodbye..................
I hope my classes, workshops and gatherings help teach you how to get back in touch with your soft, feminine side.
They remind you what strength and power really are. The strength to say no, the strength to keep practicing, the strength to follow your heart, to create and live life to the full.
Soft is the feminine yin side of life, which our society doesn’t honour and appreciate.
Soft is not weak, soft is strong. In yoga this feminine energy is known as Shakti.
Love, peace, nurturing, gentleness, gracefulness and much more.
We need to help bring our society back into balance. There is too much pain and suffering, mentally and physically. We need more Yin.
How much of your life is hard?
Yoga teaches us that to change the world we must change ourselves first and this is really difficult without support and encouragement.
Are you wanting to help create a better world for yourself and others?
I hope to encourage, motivate and inspire you in my classes, workshops and gatherings.
The teachings are beautiful, ancient and powerful.

I have just finished my Moonology Certificate with Yasmin Boland.
The yoga teachings encourage us to connect to nature and nothing is more feminine than the Moon.
I am following the moon, following my heart and in my new evening class using the moon's monthly cycle to teach you more about yoga, more about energy, more about ayurveda. Class begins with a workshop learning a little about the moons energy, the mudra, mantra, essential oils, crystals and why we are using them in the class. Then we will practice a beautiful yoga class connecting us deeply to our heart & spirit, to the moon, to nature.
Our first full moon is in fiery Aries, learn about the fire energy, how to look at anger as a teacher, practice restorative, yin, mudra, mantra, candle meditation...all to balance this energy.
New Evening Class at Empire Bay Hall begins in October.
