We are now focusing on the AIR Element - The Heart

At the moment there are 2 free Gentle yoga classes which focus on the air element on my website.

These sequences are for ANYONE who is tired and stressed and wants to bring more freedom and lightness into their lives
Yoga is not specific for one illness, it is not about illness at all.
It encourages energy and health.
It brings about a feeling of well being no matter what you are going through in your life.
I hope you enjoy them and find moments of joy.

The other online classes specific for balancing the Air Element and The Heart Chakra are:

The Tree of Life &

The Mudra Workshop.

We have a lot of students who need a Gentle practice at the moment, for many reasons and this is perfect timing as the classes this month are all about nurturing yourself.

The 15 minute chair yoga sequence which is free to practice is part of a teacher training I completed last year for Breast Cancer.

It is very gentle with lots of simple breathing exercises.

Yoga Asana - Physical Focus

The air element is connected to your heart, circulation, chest, lungs, immune system, shoulders, arms and hands. The classes have a lot of lovely stretches through your upper body and flowing movements to encourage circulation.

An Open Heart - Transformation - Enlightenment.

For many years I ignored the fact that yoga is a process towards enlightenment.

 What does enlightenment even mean?

I think I am slowly finding out and it begins in your heart. The AIR element.

When I practice yoga and when I teach yoga I move into what I call the Yoga Zone. I step into my inner world, I feel my body and my breath and in that frame of mind I feel as if I am connecting to something greater than myself. It comes from my heart and in those moments I feel a deep inner knowing, a deep connection to every living thing. It is no longer me, as an individual any more, with my wants and concerns and emotions but me as part of this beautiful world, me as part of a group who share the space, the peace, the connection. Thank You so much for coming to my classes.

Can we change our anger, our hurt, our guilt, our fear?

Can we transform our lives?

Can we see things differently from someone else’s perspective?

Happiness is a change of heart.

With every negative emotion.. We suffer. We hurt.

An open heart is so very hard to practice in our modern world,

Fear and hurt shut us down.

Be kind. Be gentle. Be loving. Be compassionate. Be grateful. Learn to forgive.

These are the teachings of the heart.

Practice kindness to yourself first.

Is this the beginning of transformation, enlightenment?

I don’t know but I am seeing things differently and “trying” to react differently and I feel better, lighter, more content.

I notice when I start to complain, to whinge, to worry and I try to stop myself.

I am not always successful but I am aware that I am being negative and that’s a start!

If you are more loving, kind, compassionate and grateful to yourself, you will be happier or maybe content is the better word. This will effect your family, your friends, your neighbours, your pets, your environment.

The greatest gift you can give the world is your happiness.

Its that simple. Thank You Ticht Naht Hanh for helping to change my heart & mind.
