NEW YEARS RESOLUTION

 MY vitality, emotional balance, personal integrity & enjoyment of life, grow stronger.

This sure is a powerful affirmation and not one that I made up.

I closed my eyes, dipped my hand into my little singing bowl which is full of colourful stones and pulled out Red Jasper. I know a lot about this stone just because of it’s colour. Deep heavy red, connected to the Earth Energy. I looked up the affirmation in The Book of Stones by Simmons/Ahsian

This affirmation is perfect for me and then I thought I would gift it to you.

Did you know that crystals are part of Ayurvedic Healing? They can add detail & depth to a yoga class.

Reading this affirmation, does it touch something inside of you, your spirit perhaps?

Is it time to drop the guilt and failure of our Western New years Resolutions? Is it time to add sparkle and shine?  I bet you already have a crystal or stone. Maybe it is a diamond on your ring finger. Would you like to know the affirmation, the healing energy of the stones and crystals you carry with you every day? Is it their worth or is it their beauty that touches you? Is it their healing energy?

 Is “healing energy” a new or difficult word for you? Are you ready to change your mind?

Can a stone affect your spirit, when you hold it, feel it and remember it’s affirmation?

Will you take the time to practice daily, only 5 minutes out of your day?

Find a comfortable sitting position, lift your chest slightly, relax your shoulders & smile.

Close your eyes & place your hands gently on your stomach.

Feel your breath, notice the sensations in your hands.

When your mind wanders or you become restless.

Place your hands gently and lovingly on your chest.

Put your thumb and index fingers together. AIR MUDRA

Breathe in slowly and deeply and as you do raise, your arms, say powerfully out loud or

Silently. I AM WISE. Breathe out as slowly as you can and gently drop your arms.

Put your thumb and middle fingers together. SPACE MUDRA

Breathe in slowly and deeply and as you do, raise your arms, say powerfully out loud or

silently. I AM PEACEFUL. Breathe out as slowly as you can and calmly drop your arms.

Put your thumb and ring fingers together. EARTH MUDRA

Breathe in slowly and deeply and as you do, raise your arms, say powerfully out loud or

silently. I AM STRONG.  Breathe out as slowly as you can and  stretch through your finger tips  and drop your arms.

Put your thumb and little fingers together. WATER MUDRA

Breathe in slowly and deeply and as you do, raise your arms, say powerfully out loud or

silently. I AM HAPPY  Breathe out as slowly as you can gracefully drop your arms.

Repeat this as many times as you like. Add the New Years affirmation or your own personal affirmation as you sit quietly with palms together at your chest.

That’s all you need to do, a little gentle yoga often is so much more than a weekly physical class.
