A Happy New Year.

I think this is going to be a bit of a roller coaster year and everyone needs support emotionally and yoga and meditation are tried and tested ways of supporting us.  

I have decided to put all of my yoga and meditations classes on my website free to watch  and practice any time you need them. To be able to teach yoga and meditation and to share it with others is one of the joys of my life. When practiced with Ayurveda it becomes a holistic system of health.

You can start the Yoga & Ayurveda Course for free any time. If you need guidance then it is only $120. Guidance includes emails or maybe special zoom classes, appropriate meditations, yoga classes, herbal medicine, food therapy and much more for your unique self.

 A wise teaching of yoga is that without unhappiness you would never know and experience joy. You’d take it for granted!

Emotions come and go. To be human is to feel all emotions and it is how you respond that changes your life.

Yoga & Meditation help you to avoid getting stuck in a whirl of negativity, be it fear, depression, anger, grief, there’s a lot of them but on the positive, feel good side are a lot more.

Connecting with your breath, singing, practicing yoga or meditation, going for a walk, a swim, gardening, playing...to name a few, all help us get out of our negative thought patterns.

This New Year's Resolution or Mantra will certainly help you.

I have been practicing every day and it is really hard.

Sometimes I find I can’t stop complaining even when I know I am and trying not too!

But I also know that noticing is the beginning. It’s always easier to notice other people complaining, it’s not good to listen to and it’s really hard not to join in.

Complaining seems to be on the increase and out of control on Social Media

If there is a problem, that needs fixing then we need to say something but often we complain to the wrong people and instead of calmly stating a fact, we get angry and upset and those listening get angry and upset.

PRACTICE GRATITUDE..Every day I am going to sit and think about all I have in my life. I know already that being grateful makes me feel so much peace and joy

I have been watching and following the moon cycles for a couple of years now.

It makes me feel more connected to the natural world and gets me out watching.

Today is New Year's Day, the moon was a tiny slither in the sky as we headed over to Putty Beach. It will soon be a New Moon and we won’t see it at all. It was very beautiful and quiet with just the birds. We sat on a rock and watched the sky lighten and the sun rise on a beautiful new year in a magical place.

Astrology is part of Yoga & Ayurveda but it is not enough to give you a prediction of your future, it is meant to be used to empower you and teach you how to make changes in your life.

After the full moon it is time to practice gratitude, forgiveness and let go of the need to be always doing, to relax and take it easy.

The New Moon is on 3rd January and time to make some plans for what you would like to change. To get moving again. A monthly cycle that if you forget can always get you back on track. One day you’ll look up and there will be a beautiful full moon whispering, time to be grateful, to relax and take it easy
