My Yoga Classes

Have evolved over the last 7 years of teaching, learning and studying. They are far more than an exercise class and are based on the teachings and wisdom passed down over 1000’s of years, joining together Yoga and Ayurveda. Teaching the whole practice in a modern, feminine way. The Yoga & Ayurveda Course evolved from my wish to share this knowledge.

The asana or exercises are a very small part of yoga however we need the asana as Westerners who sit in chairs a lot, to regain our physical strength and flexibility.

For us yoga asana are an important step into the system.

16 Online classes are all free to practice.

They begin with learning careful alignment and have been planned to gradually take you deeper into yoga. From chair yoga & meditation to Intermediate/Advanced yoga classes.

I highly recommend face to face classes with a yoga teacher before practicing any online classes.

 *Never do anything that hurts, never push into a posture. BE GENTLE.

Practice to your bodies capabilities and it will gradually grow stronger, more flexible & healthier.

Otherwise practice the classes below until you feel strong and comfortable (at ease) in the asana and ready to learn more. This may take 10 years....or 3 classes!

Below are three beginners foundation classes.

Class One - 6 Minute Introduction

Learn how to engage the muscles in your pelvic floor all the way up to your neck as you practice the standing asana.

These 3 Bandha or energy seals strengthen your core & anyone with a back or neck problem can benefit so much from learning when and how to use them.

This 5 minute video is a very gentle introduction on what they are, where they are and how to gently engage them.

In my online yoga classes you will learn how and when to use Bandha as you practice asana.
They intensify with pranayama or breathing exercises such as Samana Vayu.

Class Two - 15 Minute Sequence

This is a 15 minute Gentle Chair yoga sequence that is the beginning of The Rewind Yoga for Breast Cancer Class.
BUT it is a sequence for ANYONE who is tired, exhausted, suffering from any illness or spends too many hours sitting in an office chair
Yoga is not specific for one illness, it is not about illness at all.
It encourages energy and health.
It brings about a feeling of well being no matter what you are going through in your life.
I hope you enjoy it and find moments of peace and joy.

For example some of my classes are specific for lymphatic drainage and the immune system and finish with meditation for calm and peace.

Class Three - 1 Hour Class

Although this is a Gentle Class it is recommended you have face to face lessons with a teacher before practicing. The class is divided into 2 sections, the first is Yang yoga to strengthen your spine and body. The second section is equally important Yin/Restorative asana for flexibility and relaxation. Postures are standing and laying down only.

At 23 I gave up my well paid medical profession and travelled to Crete to teach English for a year...why?..Because I thought there had to be more to life. I felt I was escaping but I was learning what was missing in my life...our lives. I went back to Radiography, saved and headed to Australia. Bought a Kombi Van and travelled from Perth up and around the coast to Sydney. It was the connection with nature that was missing and then I started yoga finding another missing connection, being aware of my body and mind. I have learn't to live in soft time instead of hard times...more of the time! I'm still learning....I have just completed a moonology course with Yasmin Boland. Learning to use the Moon Cycles to help inspire to  create a beautiful life and realise the effect this has on the world around us.

Every month I join Swami Saradananda's wonderful Satsang's for Yoga Teachers on Zoom, alot of her work on Mudra's, Pranayama, Chakra's and Cleansing practices has inspired my classes over the last 5 years and it is lovely to be able to listen to her wise teachings.

1 Hour Face to Face Zoom consultations or special yoga & meditation classes can be arranged any time throughout the course. Cost $120

*I recommend one every 2 months but it is very flexible and you may wish to receive email advise only.
